Common questions
What data sources can you connect?
Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Planner), Asana, Monday.com, Jira, and most systems with an API or data export. Google Sheets and Excel files can also be used as data sources.
Do we need Power BI licences?
Power BI Pro is included in Microsoft 365 Business Standard and above. If you already have M365 Business Standard, you likely already have the licences. We will confirm this during the discovery call. If not, we can build in Google Looker Studio (free) instead.
Can non-technical staff use the dashboard?
Yes. The dashboards are designed for business users, not analysts. Filters, date ranges, and drill-downs are all accessible without any technical knowledge. We include handover training as part of the delivery.
Can we add new data sources later?
Yes. The dashboard architecture is designed to be extensible. Adding a new data source is typically a 2–4 hour engagement, not a rebuild.
Who owns the dashboard after delivery?
You do. The dashboard is built in your Power BI workspace or your Google account. No ongoing licensing fees to SecureLoop. You can edit it yourself or ask us to make changes.
How often does the data refresh?
Refresh frequency depends on the data source and your Power BI licence. Most financial and CRM data refreshes every 15–60 minutes. For near-real-time requirements, we configure streaming datasets where available.
